Unit4 Business World Full ERP Implementation

Embridge Consulting & Port Of London Authority

Project Management and Transformation consultancy services for a combined Port of London Authority and Embridge Consulting project team to deliver the full implementation of Unit4 Business World ERP solution as part of a wide-scale transformation of the organisation.
The scope of the project covers Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement and the new U4BW Asset Management capability. The project involved significant updates to Finance functionality delivering wide scale improvements, the migration of existing HR & Payroll systems to a fully integrated ERP solution and the introduction of an innovative asset management and scheduled maintenance solution that included assets including, land, radar stations, vehicles and vessels, buildings, jetty's and piers and even the Thames riverbed.  The solution went fully live in July 2018

Unit4 Business World Service Transition Project

Hoople and Rutland County Council

The objective of the project was to deliver the Service Transition of Rutland County Council's Unit4 Business World ERP system from an on-premise solution to a fully Managed Business World Milestone 4 service hosted by Hoople in Hereford. The initial scope was to migrate HR, Payroll, Finance and Procurement services and data through a four-version upgrade, create an archive reporting tool and manage the development and introduction of a new technical architecture Part way through scope was extended to add a further upgrade to Milestone 6 (including all Hoople's existing clients), Income Manager and Web Payments functionality and Hoople's Invoice Processing Service. Not only did this add  technical complexity and risk but it also involved six stakeholder organisations, three vendors and additional PCI-DSS requirements.

The project was successfully delivered in November 2016 with only a month added to the original timeline and all objectives were met. The upgrade to Milestone 6 put the organisations involved amongst the early adopters.
Hoople additionally benefited from a successful redefinition of their ITIL based Service Transition and Service Management processes, which Change 2 Deliver architected and led the development of.

CoreLogic Frameworki to Mosaic Upgrade

Hoople and Herefordshire Council

Following previous successes in Herefordshire, Hoople approached Change 2 Deliver in January 2016 to recover a failing CoreLogic Frameworki upgrade project that had been running since the late summer of the previous year.

The upgrade was a significant shift from Frameworki to the new generation of the product Mosaic, introducing a significantly changed user interface, new logic and workflow, a new mobile version and changes in reporting and process capabilities.

Having applied our Project Rescue approach it became apparent that key to the success of the project was engagement between Hoople and the sponsors. Regaining the confidence of the customer at strategic level and galvanising and motivating a joint Hoople, Herefordshire Council and CoreLogic team was critical to success.

Turnaround was completed and over 600 users went live in a three-month time window, with the vendors remarking it had been the fastest and smoothest upgrade they had been involved in. Not only was the solution delivered but a new development approach was established along with a significant change in culture that reaped benefits and continuous change after the project had closed.

Financial Services Enterprise-wide SharePoint Site

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services & BlueSky SharePoint Consulting

We were engaged to deliver a complete re-implementation of a company-wide SharePoint deployment used for both organisational and operational processes and reporting. covering Insurance, Contracting, Sales, Asset Management, Compliance, Corporate Services. From a standing start, with no defined plan, no corporate template the project delivered in six months and created a model that influenced Mercedes Benz global approach to SharePoint. We brought in partners BlueSky SharePoint Consulting to deliver the following:
A New Information Architecture moving from a single site collection to an integrated architecture of seven site collections based on a common template and a secure hierarchy of site permissions.
A new Corporate and Departmental SharePoint site including a Central Management Report Hub and Comms Channel.
Re-engaged central German global SharePoint Services (SharePoint Farm Hosts) with newly implemented support and management arrangements and Governance standards.
New Information and SharePoint Governance standards to address both Data Protection and Financial and Banking Regulations.
A central SharePoint Development team responsible for the development of financial workflows to manage the customer contracts, vehicle asset management, and financial reimbursements amongst many new automated business processes.
Self-determining and fully trained end-user development group for local departmental sites.   
Forward development plan owned by new Strategic SharePoint Governing Body.

Herefordshire Council Digital Strategy - New Web-Site

Hoople, Herefordshire Council and Jadu

Change 2 Deliver led a joint project team including Herefordshire Council, Hoople's Digital Services Team and Jadu, to develop and implement a complete new Web Site and Digital platform for Herefordshire Council based on Jadu's Contiuum product.
The scope included the re-design of the site, implementation of a new technical architecture, the review and transformation of content and the delivery of automated processes though integration with back off systems and customer management system Microsoft Dynamics.
The aim was to achieve a channel shift of core customer and business to business processes and payments from telephone and face-to-face to digital by default.  The new web-site went live in December 2016 and subsequently received award recognition from SOCITM.

Unit4 Business World (Agresso) Upgrade to Milestone 4

Hoople and Herefordshire Council with Methods Enterprise and Unit4

Leading the delivery of a four version upgrade of Unit4 Agresso ERP system across four clients (Herefordshire Council, Hoople, Herefordshire Schools and Academies and Halo Leisure Trust) incorporating Financials, Sales and Purchasing,  HR, 27 Payrolls, and Contract Management.The project team included Hoople's Agresso Team, Consultants from Methods Enterprise and Unit4 and Herefordshire Council staff.The project had been failing and was considerably behind plan when we arrived and relationships between stakeholders needed to improved.
The upgrade to UNIT4 Agresso Milestone 4 was successfully delivered on time and under budget and the the post-implementation stabilisation period closed ahead of schedule.
An agreed future development roadmap (Optimisation & Transformation) was produced and we oversaw the initiation of the first wave of development.
Development and implementation of a combined Agresso/SharePoint HR portal covering the full Employee lifecycle.
Set up integration of third party Recruitment application and portal with Agresso
Revised P2P workflow and set up of Contract Management for large high value contracts
Delivered end to end system performance improvements across infrastructure and network.
Upgraded Version 1 document scanning solution for large volume invoice processing
Motivated and developed Hoople's Aggress System Administration team into a high performing Aggresso Consultancy Service.

In addition to these projects Change 2 Deliver have also provided Project Management consultancy on a large scale Contract Dispute legal action between a Public Sector organisation and a major Civil's Contractor. Project Management services were also provided to support the technical migration to Windows Server 2012 r2 for Mercedes Benz.
